What is OSHA Certification Training?

OSHA, the Occupational Safety and Health Administration, was created in 1970 to prevent dangerous working conditions. They require workers to complete safety compliance training courses covering lessons on eliminating or diminishing occupational injury, illness, and death to achieve this goal. OSHA.com online courses are here to assist U.S. employers in staying compliant with training obligations outlined in OSHA Standards.

Note: There is technically no such thing as “OSHA certification.” By completing an OSHA Outreach Training Program course, graduates earn either a 10-hour or 30-hour OSHA DOL card.

How to Get OSHA Certified?

While New Frontier Training Solutions does not officially "certify" individuals, you can earn a 10-hour or 30-hour OSHA DOL card by completing an authorized OSHA Outreach Training course. To do so, you must:

  • Enroll in a course through an OSHA-authorized training provider like us.

  • Complete the curriculum, which covers essential topics in workplace safety.

  • Pass the final exam to demonstrate your understanding of the material.

  • Receive a certificate of completion immediately, with your official DOL card arriving within approximately two weeks.

Who Needs OSHA Training?

Many workers across construction and general industry benefit from OSHA training, especially those who work in environments where safety risks are common.

  • Construction: construction laborers, carpenters, electricians, roofers, heavy equipment operators, and site supervisors.

  • General Industry: warehouse associates, forklift operators, manufacturing technicians, maintenance workers, machine operators, and facility managers.

Online OSHA training is one of the most convenient ways to complete required safety education. Students can enroll online, learn at their own pace, and access training from anywhere while balancing work schedules.

How Long Does It Take to Complete OSHA Training?

The time it takes to complete OSHA training varies depending on the course, the student, and the industry. While most OSHA-aligned courses may take a few hours to complete, OSHA limits online Outreach training to 7.5 hours of seat time per day, so courses are completed over multiple days.

For example, OSHA 10 training typically takes at least 2 days to complete, while OSHA 30 usually takes about 4 days or more, depending on the student’s pace. Because our courses are industry-specific and available online, students can complete the training at their own pace while meeting OSHA Outreach requirements.
